Her experiences vary from research and intervention to direct classroom and home-based services for families and children birth-five. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Child Development with a Specialization in Infant Studies from Erikson Institute. For the last 10 years, Jennifer has worked in the Early Head Start/Head Start community sharing her passion for Conscious Discipline.

Susan Kirby
Certified InstructorSusan Kirby graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. After a career in the financial services industry, she became a stay-at-home mom caring for her two sons, Nick and Thomas. After they entered elementary school, became a tireless volunteer and substitute teacher. Susan has always been comfortable working with children and this gift didn’t escape the Preschool Director at her church, who quickly offered her a position in the Kindergarten classroom. Thus began Susan’s journey of classroom teaching. Ten years later, Susan was offered the position of part-time Parent Educator at Clemson Road Child Development Center, a Title One 4K program in Richland School District 2 in Columbia, South Carolina.

Susan Hampel
Certified InstructorSusan Hampel is an energetic, passionate trainer, coach and educator, with 20 years experience as a preschool teacher. She currently works for the University of Dayton’s Bombeck Family Learning Center as an outreach coordinator for Preschool Promise. Preschool Promise is a community based education program that ensures every 4year old in Dayton receive a high quality Preschool education. She utilizes Conscious Discipline to improve the social emotional education in the Preschools Promise sites all over the area. Her passion and gift is teaching Conscious Discipline in order to plant the seeds of inspiration, creativity and love for children as a way to a better future. She also teaches parenting classes for Head Start of Montgomery County throughout the community.
