S.A.F.E. Starts With Us

Do You Have a Nervous System?

Educators and leaders across the country are navigating unprecedented levels of stress, behavioral challenges, and system-wide pressure. Our internal and external nervous systems are overwhelmed—and yet we’re asked to create safety, connection, and regulation for others.

The truth is simple and profound: we cannot create what we do not embody.

S.A.F.E. starts with us.

This theme is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the foundation of all meaningful change: regulated adults, connected communities, and aligned systems that support every nervous system in the building.

SAFE isn’t something we do to children. S.A.F.E. is something we become. Together.

Special Preconference Add-Ons! Enrich your teacher conference experience by participating in our pre-conference workshops focusing on the core principles of Conscious Discipline. We recommend this for participants who have had minimal exposure to Conscious Discipline.

The Courage to Lead: Strengths, Struggles, and Breakthroughs in Conscious Discipline 2026 Elevate Leadership Keynote

What does it truly take to lead with Conscious Discipline? Not just in theory, but in the real, messy, day-to-day work of schools, districts and organizations? In this engaging one-hour panel discussion, four experienced leaders share honest reflections from their journeys implementing Conscious Discipline.

Through stories of successes and challenges, panelists explore the internal shifts, practical strategies, and moments of vulnerability that shaped their leadership. The conversation highlights the power of self-regulation, connection, and consistency in creating lasting change — while also acknowledging the setbacks and learning curves along the way.

Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding that effective implementation is not about perfection, but about persistence, reflection, and the courage to grow. Whether you are just beginning or deepening your practice, this session offers both inspiration and practical takeaways to support your own leadership journey.

A Different Approach to Education Conferences

Big Idea:

Reclaim Regulation. Rebuild Connection. Reimagine Thriving Systems.

This year’s Elevate experience invites you into a grounded, adult-first approach to transformation. S.A.F.E. isn’t another initiative. It’s a way of being, a way of leading, and a way of building schools, districts, centers, and organizations where every adult and every child can thrive.

What S.A.F.E. Schools Make Possible

The S.A.F.E. Framework is a roadmap for sustainable, system-wide change:

  • S – Sustained Leadership — Leading from the inside out with clarity, consistency, and compassion.
  • A – Adult Self-Regulation — Building the internal capacity that shapes every interaction and decision.
  • F – Foster Community — Creating cultures of belonging where connection drives behavior and learning.
  • E – Engaged Learning Environments — Designing spaces where safety, structure, and joy unlock the brain for learning.

S.A.F.E. is not something we “roll out.” S.A.F.E. is something we live. Together.
