As a college student and part-time preschool teacher, Kenedria was first introduced to Conscious Discipline by Certified Instructor, Nicole Mercer. Kenedria has always had a passion for connecting with children and seeing them as able, and deserving of love and intentional learning. The introduction to the seven skills and structures for classroom management enhanced her teaching while working in faith based preschool programs and in-home child care.

As a college student and part-time preschool teacher, Kenedria was first introduced to Conscious Discipline by Certified Instructor, Nicole Mercer. Kenedria has always had a passion for connecting with children and seeing them as able, and deserving of love and intentional learning. The introduction to the seven skills and structures for classroom management enhanced her teaching while working in faith based preschool programs and in-home child care. Further, Kenedria is committed to learning and teaching brain-based approaches and has utilized Conscious Discipline since 2006. As a helper for CD1 in 2017, she began to share the personal impact that CD has had on her personal and professional life. Currently in the role of Director, she is responsible for overseeing high quality early learning in a preschool on an HBCU campus. The way that Kenedria executes her vision for “Developing, lifelong Learners, the Rattler Way!”, is to merge the program’s legacy with the School Family model which empowers staff, families and the campus to see children as learners who become leaders. She became a Certified Instructor for Conscious Discipline in 2021 and aims to continue encouraging others to provide a solid foundation for young children.

    Kenedria has served for 21 years in early learning classrooms, from Birth to age 5. and has 8 years of child care administration experience. She has worked with children in China as a Foreign Language trainer, using Conscious Discipline skills. Kenedria presents nationally for audiences of early educators and professionals.
