Jennie Gries

Jennie Gries has 30+ years of experience in elementary education. As a Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor and current classroom teacher, Jennie’s audiences find it easy to relate with her on a personal level. Her passion for integrating social and emotional learning and academic standards infuses her work with positive energy, real-world experience, vital strategies, and increased achievement for educators and students alike.

Jennie seamlessly embeds Conscious Discipline with academic instruction to support self-regulation, the School Family and Executive Skill development for educators of students Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Her classroom has become a model for educators worldwide to witness the power of Conscious Discipline in action. She is an energetic presenter with experience at the local and national levels, where she specializes in helping educators integrate social and emotional learning, the School Family and academic instruction.

Jennie excels in leading teams in Conscious Discipline implementation and has served as the Conscious Discipline Action Team Leader in her school for the past 10 years. Her school has maintained a “Significantly Exceeds Expectations” ranking for the Wisconsin State School Report Card since reaching fidelity with Conscious Discipline and hosted a Conscious Discipline National 2-Day Event as a model school in 2021.

Jennie lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Nick, and twin daughters, Madisen and Makenna.
