Tracy Skripka

Tracy is a public school counselor and licensed professional counselor who uses Conscious Discipline as the foundation of both her school counseling program and her private counseling practice. She has over two decades of experience in education, with roles including second grade teacher, dyslexia and intervention teacher, and now middle school counselor.

In 2005, Tracy was introduced to Conscious Discipline when Certified Instructor Jill Molli came to Pasadena ISD. At the time, Tracy was a dyslexia and intervention teacher at a fifth grade center and a graduate student studying Counseling. She loved everything about Conscious Discipline from the start, attending every professional development event on the topic. She played a central role in district-wide implementation. When Keller Middle School opened in 2008, Tracy knew that Conscious Discipline would be an essential part of the school culture, and she was instrumental in its implementation.

Over the years, Conscious Discipline has impacted Tracy’s personal and professional life in many ways. She practices Conscious Discipline with her husband, children, family, friends, and coworkers, many of whom regard Tracy as their safekeeper. Tracy is a reflective listener who leads and teaches others by example. She works with parents, teachers, and children of all ages.
