She has been working for 27 years with children and their families in her private clinical practice and her child development center Vueltacanela as a director. She has specialized in emotional regulation, ADHD, impulsivity, parenting and early childhood. She loves helping families and teachers connect with their children.
Selwaan MahmoudCertified Instructor
Selwaan Mahmoud is a lifelong educator and a parent who has always believed in the power of positive intent and the importance of critical thinking. She has worked with students as young as two months in nurseries to adults in large school systems. She has trained and coached administrators, teachers, students and parents in training and implementing Conscious Discipline school wide.
Nicole LangstonCertified Instructor
Nicole Langston, an educator with over 17 years of experience and mother of four, discovered Conscious Discipline when she first became a principal. Nicole has worked as a Director of Early Childhood, principal, and elementary teacher while also leading Parents as Teachers, Gifted and Talented, Head Start and pregnant and parenting teens. She has an Ed.S in Education Policy and Analysis from the University of Missouri, a M.Ed from William Woods University, and a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University.
Pamela PrasherCertified Instructor
Pamela Prasher has over 18 years of classroom experience, in addition to experience as a family advocate, parent educator, early childhood presenter and with her two young boys. She specializes in working with parents and families from Native American/Tribal Communities. Pamela has presented about Conscious Discipline at state and national conferences, including presenting at a Conscious Discipline Summer Institute.
Kyree ChambersCertified Instructor
Kyree Chambers discovered Conscious Discipline early in her career. After receiving her bachelor’s degrees in Elementary and Special Education, Kyree knew her love was for early childhood education. She now operates a private preschool, implementing Conscious Discipline center-wide. Kyree also implements Conscious Discipline coaching CrossFit, sitting on the Board of Trustees for a 6-12 private school, and teaching parent workshops.
Tracy SkripkaCertified Instructor
Tracy Skripka is a Public School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has been instrumental in the implementation of Conscious Discipline school and district-wide. Tracy uses Conscious Discipline as the foundation of her school counseling program and her private counseling practice.
Annette ChastainCertified Instructor
Annette Chastain is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from The Confederate Tribes of Warm Springs, Oregon and lives in Redmond, Oregon. Annette provides mental health consultation, training, and coaching for Head Starts, childcare centers, Social Service agencies, Native American tribes, communities, and schools K-12. She has over 25 years of experience in outpatient mental health, day treatment, classroom settings, mental health promotion and prevention, parent training, in-home skills training, and as a certified prevention specialist.
Jennifer SmithCertified Instructor
Jennifer Smith has over 17 years of experience working in the early childhood field. Her experiences vary from research and intervention to direct classroom and home-based services for families and children birth-five. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Child Development with a Specialization in Infant Studies from Erikson Institute. For the last 10 years, Jennifer has worked in the Early Head Start/Head Start community sharing her passion for Conscious Discipline.
Carla BriezenCertified Instructor
Carla Briezen has been working in the field of education in Aruba for over 20 years. Her aim is to introduce Conscious Discipline to as many people as possible and to be an example of living the principles of Conscious Discipline. Carla believes that adults and children alike can grow and live joyous, valuable lives founded on love instead of fear. By consciously accessing our brilliance when we apply the powers and skills of Conscious Discipline, we can build more loving and connected families, schools, companies and communities.
