Early childhood education leaders in Head Start Programs help teachers and staff lay the foundation of development for a student’s lifetime. For as much as they pour out at the organizational level for the lives of the staff and children in their care, they deserve to receive a lion’s share of support and resources that promote lasting change and wellness for all.
The challenge of connecting with children who are hard to reach and managing big behaviors continues to trend upward, even as our national focus shifts away from the pandemic’s impact on education and child development. For those still struggling with these impacts in the classroom day after day, Creating Connections with the Hard to Reach Students provides fresh insight and new strategies for reaching and teaching challenging children— particularly those impacted by trauma and toxic stress, whether from the pandemic years or other circumstances.
Improve achievement and wellbeing for your entire class by discovering evidence-based, field-tested practices for building the connections that lead to cooperation; understanding and responding to challenging behavior; cultivating lasting behavior change and healing; and managing your own anxieties, grief and frustrations surrounding big behaviors.

Shopping & AttractionsThis workshop is designed to provide educators who teach children of any age with effective, research-based strategies to build relationships and improve behavior under uniquely challenging circumstances.
Conscious Discipline is proud to partner with Concordia University Wisconsin to provide Continuing Education Credits (CEUs). One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is the equivalent of ten contact hours. Once you have completed your event or offering and received your Certificate of Completion, you may register for the corresponding offering. Attendees who wish to obtain CEUs must apply at https://ces.cuw.edu/browse/education/conscious-discipline.
In order to be eligible for CEU’s, the Certificate of Completion must fall within the same calendar year. You will receive your Certificate of Completion in a post-event email, which you will be required to upload.
