Sue’s thesis work explored resiliency in Head Start preschoolers and that interest in resiliency continues today through her work with Conscious Discipline.

Sue has over 25 years of experience in early childhood education that includes classroom teaching, family engagement, teacher coaching and training, in addition to program administration. Sue has experience as a home visitor, classroom teacher, site supervisor, education manager and, most recently, Head Start director.

Sue’s knowledge and experience provides a practical implementation of integrating Conscious Discipline with school policy, monitoring systems and outcomes, while supporting staff and parents through the implementation journey.
