More About Joshua McGraw arrow-right

Josh is an experienced elementary educator dedicated to improving the lives of children. The overarching theme behind his work is ensuring that every child and family has access to a safe adult who cares deeply for them. Josh joined The Pendleton Early Learning Center as a kindergarten teacher upon its opening in 2015. At Pendleton, Josh prioritized managing emotions, self-awareness, assertiveness, acceptance and empathy with his kindergarteners. In 2021, Josh shifted to teaching fourth grade at a neighboring school. This change allowed him to discover new ways of incorporating Conscious Discipline into the elementary classroom, including supporting English Language Learners in becoming proficient in a second language. In recent years, Josh has become an advocate and key player in his district’s implementation of Conscious Discipline.

Josh strives to build deep connections with the students, staff and families in his School Family, and has a gift for seeing the best in others and helping them to do the same. Josh’s training and coaching as a Certified Instructor follows suit with these values as he inspires educators to dig deep to create an environment of trust, safety, connection, inclusion, unique expression and unlimited possibility via Conscious Discipline.
