What is Conscious Discipline

Here's What You'll Learn at our Houston, TX Event

TRANSFORMATION

Discover the inner workings of the revolutionary power of Conscious Discipline and how millions of attendees have implemented these principles to reduce problem behaviors, inspire student achievement and success, foster emotional wellness, support a positive and dynamic school climate, and build a stronger, more resilient community.

BRAIN STATE MODEL

The Conscious Discipline Brain State Model is a multidisciplinary approach based on three unique brain-body states within adults and children that drive behavior. By truly understanding these states and learning how to recognize them within ourselves and others, we can achieve healthy regulation of our own thoughts and emotions and, in turn, help children learn to do the same. You will learn how to foster brain integration which will help you and others rise to optimal states for learning, resolution, and problem-solving. While the model is grounded in neuroscience and informed by leaders in psychology, our approach is meant to provide a simple and effective means of increasing composure and self-awareness so you can respond successfully to the needs of the moment.

SELF-REGULATION

Children can truly thrive when they are supported by a conscious, mindful adult. How can we achieve that? The Seven Powers of Conscious Adults is a mindset shift that is built on self-regulation and approaching conflict in a proactive, grounded way. These powers will help you live, teach, and model healthy behaviors, creating a lasting impact that enhances the lives of all involved. Then you will learn the Seven Basic Principles of Discipline, an array of invaluable skills and actionable strategies for working with children in a steady, synergistic way.

SCHOOL FAMILY

The School Family is based on a healthy family model – the objective of which is creating a dynamic that nurtures optimal growth, learning, and confidence in all involved. You will learn the routines, rituals, and structures that have led to countless thriving School Families. Historically, factories have been used as an unconscious model for how classrooms and schools are structured. The goal of a factory is churning out standardized “products” through a rewards and punishments system. Plenty of research and experience demonstrates that this model is ineffective. The School Family model provides a solution that embraces connection, belonging, and emotional safety. The results speak for themselves – students exhibit more willingness to learn, greater impulse control and responsibility, improved academics, boosted confidence, and far less bullying!
