Tami McMahan

Tami McMahan is an energetic, dynamic presenter, experienced educator, and life-long learner. Whether facilitating large group presentations or working directly with a CDAT team, Tami’s background and expertise enables her to meet and encourage all participants wherever they are on their Conscious Discipline journey.

Tami’s 20+ years of experience as a classroom teacher spans diverse ages and settings. From elementary school, to grades 9-12 in an alternative education setting, to teaching adults at the collegiate level, Tami pulls from her extensive background to inform her instruction. She has also served as an elementary principal and is currently the Director of English Language Learners for her district. Her dedication and expertise were recognized when she was awarded the Sallie Mae First Class Teacher of the Year for Indiana. She is a valuable resource for schools that are beginning school wide and district wide implementation.

Tami is a graduate of both Indiana University and Anderson University, where she earned her various certifications and a Master’s in School Administration and Leadership. She thrives in creating spaces where all stakeholders feel safe enough to show up as their whole selves and supports leaders in doing the same within their own communities. Tami is a valuable resource for schools beginning school wide and district wide implementation and we are thrilled to have her join the Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor team.
