Beth is a dynamic trainer who works extensively with early childhood educators, instructional coaches, administrators and leadership teams to embed Conscious Discipline into their educational cultures. Beth’s expertise builds on more than fifteen years in the field of education as a childcare and preschool teacher, an instructional coach and a principal.

Beth currently leads her school district in their district-wide implementation of Conscious Discipline across 13 elementary schools, serves on her district’s Conscious Discipline Action Team (CDAT) and pk-12th grade SEL committee. As Principal of Early Learning, she supports her universal preschool program in implementing Conscious Discipline and internalizing the Powers of Conscious Adults. As her district seeks to provide more equitable opportunities regardless of background, race, culture or identity, Beth has utilized Conscious Discipline to frame this work and support her team as agents of change. Within her community Beth has supported local childcare centers and parent groups in growing their Conscious Discipline knowledge and practices. She earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and her principal’s license from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and is a mother of two.

    Experience

    Beth has been investing in our youngest learners and their families through her work in early childhood education since 2005. Her experience covers a wide range of educational roles, from classroom teacher and co-teacher, to instructional coach, to principal. Beth is an essential leader in her community’s shift to implementing Conscious Discipline in elementary schools district-wide.
