Bailey Smith

Bailey Smith holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and has taught Grades 3-5 in Title I schools for six years. For the last several years, her test scores have been in the top 25% in the state, which Bailey credits to her practice of Conscious Discipline. She has led staff training in Conscious Discipline at her school and has guided other teachers through the implementation process. She also implements Conscious Discipline in her work as a nanny to two young boys.

Prior to her first year of teaching, Bailey received a scholarship to attend the Conscious Discipline Summer Institute. She is grateful that she was able to begin her teaching career with the tools to remain composed, connect with students, and help them learn and problem-solve effectively. After her students moved on to middle school, Bailey received an email saying, “We still meet every morning at the flagpole as a class family. We do a Brain Smart Start and we enter the school together. Even though we aren’t together in your class anymore, we will always be a family.” From that moment, Bailey’s enthusiasm and passion for Conscious Discipline has continued to grow.

Bailey understands the stress and the demands put upon educators, and she utilizes Conscious Discipline to navigate everyday classroom needs and challenges. Through staff training and coaching colleagues through the implementation process, Bailey also has a proven ability to equip other teachers with these powerful tools.
