Alissa McGraw is a dedicated educator with over two decades of classroom experience, primarily in 4th and 5th grade, spanning both Montessori and public school settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University. Alissa is Montessori certified, ESOL and reading endorsed, and holds a Florida teaching certificate, reflecting her deep commitment to regulated, connected and effective education.

Alissa has been implementing Conscious Discipline in her life and work since 2008 and now serves as a full-time Certified Instructor. She specializes in training and coaching elementary educators, bringing her classroom expertise and personal journey with Conscious Discipline to life through engaging, relatable sessions. Her work is often praised for authenticity and impact, with attendees noting, “Alissa’s personal stories of success and her classroom experiences made this the best training I have ever been to.”

Alissa lives in Palm City, Florida, with her husband, whom she married at Walt Disney World in 2002. Their son, Parker, attends Harvey Mudd College in California, where he majors in Math and Physics and pitches for the baseball team. Parker’s upbringing in a Conscious Discipline home has equipped him with the self-regulation skills needed to thrive both academically and athletically.

    Alissa was a classroom teacher for 20 years, teaching at both Montessori and public schools. She has taught PreK all the way through 5th grade.
