More About Susan Kirby
Susan Kirby has been training the childcare directors we work with in our county, as well as our entire non-profit staff. She has led us on the journey to reflect on our emotions and brain states in a way that has been life changing to some and informative to all. Susan has the skills and temperament to make people comfortable with difficult discussions or self-reflections. Her guidance has reached a new level with our staff when a staff member was recently assisting another using Conscious Discipline practices and was told “You just Susan Kirby'd me!”
One of the things I enjoy most about Susan’s presentations is that while she is always professional, she is able to relate to her audience as if she has known them all for years. She will share a story, provide an example or make a connection with a guest in her session and it immediately helps you to understand her point and how that may relate to you. Perhaps it is because of her tone in her voice, her humor or the way she welcomes each person with a warm smile and a special greeting, but even in a crowded room full of teachers, eager for her guidance, Susan notices each individual.
Mrs. Kirby, thank you so very much for all that you have done for my Grandchildren and me. I will never forget you and your teaching of Conscious Discipline. You taught me to rethink how to hand stressful situations and believer you me, they were so stressful!
