Helen Guda is director of her own consultancy Develop to Grow, which is born out of a passion for the development of people and is based on a firm belief that human growth is the way to personal and collective success.
Helen has enjoyed a long career in the educational field in Aruba. During a period of more than 25 years she has worked with children, parents, teachers, directors and school teams. During those years she repeatedly functioned as an instructor, coach and trainer. Helen Guda earned an academic degree in Developmental Psychology in the Netherlands in 1979.
In 2008, she gave her career a new direction by certifying as a Conscious Discipline® Instructor. From the moment she met Dr. Becky Bailey, she was convinced that Conscious Discipline is an invaluable tool for parents and teachers in the education of their children.
From then on Helen’s vision has been to bring Conscious Discipline to her part of the world and to offer it to as many people as possible. She presents workshops for parents, teachers and other educators. Together with a team of volunteers she has organized workshops where Dr. Becky Bailey presented two-day workshops and where LGA Jill Molli has presented. Also, in October 2015 was first week long Conscious Discipline Institute outside of the United States presented by Dr. Becky Bailey, Jill Molli and Kim Hughes followed by a CD1 Caribbean in 2017 where 140 people from 11 different countries came together.
Under Helen’s leadership the team of Develop to Grow has grown and developed into a team of trainers of Conscious Discipline, working on their own certification.
Since 2014, Helen has been traveling to other islands in the Dutch Caribbean (Bonaire, Saba, Curaçao) to give workshops and coaching to school teams and parents who want to learn about Conscious Discipline.
Helen’s strength as a presenter are her passion, enthusiasm and love for both children and educators and her firm belief that we all can be so much better.
