More About Grayson Merritt arrow-right

My journey with Conscious Discipline began in 2008, driven by a desire to provide children and students with a compassionate alternative to traditional punishment. After implementing these principles as a preschool director, I transitioned into high school counseling. Since 2020, as a College & Student Life High School Advisor, I have successfully adapted Conscious Discipline principles for the secondary level. By facilitating workshops on the brain and emotional regulation for high schoolers, faculty, and parents, I demonstrate that these principles are vital across all grade levels. Committed to the adult-first model, I empower educators to cultivate safe, connection-based environments. Passionate about fostering resilience, I am dedicated to sharing these tools to help schools and families realize Dr. Bailey’s vision of a world where every child and adult feels safe, connected, and seen as worthy.

My transition from early childhood to secondary education revealed that my most effective tool is a regulated, safe presence while dedicated to empowering both students and educators.
