Two-day workshop topics include understanding trauma, teaching self-regulation, creating behavior plans for challenging children and working with students with ASD
ORLANDO, Fla. (December 5, 2019)
Conscious Discipline, a leading social and emotional learning (SEL) provider that integrates trauma-informed care, discipline, self-regulation and school culture, today announced dates and locations for its 2020 SEL workshops.
Conscious Discipline’s two-day workshops are facilitated in locations across the country by creator and SEL pioneer Dr. Becky Bailey and Certified Instructors with extensive experience in teaching, training and successful SEL implementation. Workshops provide an in-depth focus on specific SEL-related topics and incorporate interactive lectures, discussion and practice of new skills and knowledge. Conscious Discipline has a proven track record of success spanning more than 25 years, with outcomes including a positive shift in school culture, reduced discipline referrals, improved academics and test scores, increased teaching time and low staff turnover.
“Conscious Discipline is life-changing. It is the best training I’ve attended in my 12 years of teaching,” said educator Elizabeth Bracken. “I’ve been to a seven-day training and two workshops, and it never gets old. I always walk away feeling reinvigorated and ready to try something new and productive.”
Registration for Conscious Discipline events now features both Individual and Team options. Team Registration, intended for groups of two or more, offers helpful tools for schools and districts bringing groups to events, including a more convenient checkout process and the ability to invite attendees and manage seats within the Team.

About Conscious Discipline
Conscious Discipline provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed social emotional program that is based on current brain research, child development information and developmentally appropriate practices. All aspects of Conscious Discipline focus on creating a safe, connected environment for children to learn and practice the skills needed for healthy social, emotional and academic development. Conscious Discipline methodology has been recognized by SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP), and it was named a national model for character education by the Florida State Legislature. Research shows that Conscious Discipline decreases aggression, impulsivity and hyperactivity while creating a positive environment in the school or home. In schools, Conscious Discipline has been shown to decrease discipline referrals while increasing teaching time and academic achievement. Learn more at www.consciousdiscipline.com.
