Kyndal Easter brings more than 10 years of experience in education to her role as a Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor. She has worked as an early childhood teacher and an early literacy coach, and she is currently a School Leader at The Primary School in East Palo Alto, California. In addition to a B.A. in Communication, she holds a M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Loyola Marymount University. As a new mom, Kyndal is excited to share the Conscious Discipline skills she has learned and continues to develop with her son.
Kyndal first learned about Conscious Discipline as a teacher, after a colleague returned from a two-day training feeling inspired and eager to share what she had learned. Although Kyndal’s school at the time wasn’t fully ready to embrace Conscious Discipline, she was re-introduced to the program several years later when she became a School Leader at The Primary School. At her new school, she quickly witnessed Conscious Discipline’s transformational power for students and staff. She has since attended the Conscious Discipline Summer Institute as both a participant and a Helper, and she has also attended the Conscious Discipline Advanced Institute. Kyndal says, “Every day I come to work, I am reminded of just how powerful a healthy and strong School Family is to both students and staff. As an administrator, Conscious Discipline has served as a compass for how to create a felt sense of safety for our staff. I truly believe our staff retention from year to year is a testament to the positive impact Conscious Discipline has played across the school.”
As a Certified Instructor, Kyndal Easter specializes in preschool and early elementary, classroom coaching, administration, and small and large group trainings. She is passionate about the opportunity to share the teachings of Conscious Discipline to diverse communities and programs and unpack how to implement the Powers, Skills and Structures in culturally responsive ways.
