Cristen’s knowledge base and personal experience make her trainings as a Certified Instructor relatable, meaningful, grounded and effective. She believes Conscious Discipline’s foundation in neuroscience integrates seamlessly with her work in occupational therapy and developmental theory, as well as enhancing her consulting practice with self-reflection, active listening skills, authentic connections, and the ability to both give and receive support.

Cristen has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 20 years in a variety of settings such as early intervention, home based therapeutic services, private schools, public schools, childcare centers, non-profit organizations, and outpatient clinics. For the past decade, her professional development consulting within the Rhode Island and Massachusetts school systems has focused on supporting the neurodiverse population, as well as their teachers, families and administrators. Cristen is a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister and a friend, and believes her journey with Conscious Discipline has had a positive impact on all of her relationships.

    Cristen has served as a pediatric occupational therapist for 20 years, including early intervention, home based therapeutic services, private schools, public schools, childcare centers, non-profit organizations and outpatient clinics. For the past 10+ years, Cristen has provided professional development and consulting in the school systems of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
