Anita Craighead is a mother of two and licensed early childhood teacher with a preschool special needs endorsement. She has over 25 years of experience working with preschool children and over 17 years of experience working with adult learners. Anita coordinates a countywide CDAT, leads Professional Learning Communities, facilitates book studies, provides impactful in-person and virtual training, and coaches teachers, administrators and other preschool coaches in using Conscious Discipline. She began learning about Conscious Discipline over 10 years ago from a colleague and still continues to learn more about herself everyday through implementing Conscious Discipline in her personal life. Her passion for children, desire to share Conscious Discipline, and love for learning help her inspire others to discover more and to begin their own CD journeys.

Experience

I have over 25 years of experience working with children in a variety of early childhood settings (public and private) with the majority being in the public school setting. Additionally, I have over 17 years of experience coaching, providing professional development and leading college level courses for early childhood teachers.

Specialization

I specialize in training and coaching preschool teachers, in a variety of settings and using a range of curricula, to help them integrate CD into their daily routines. I help other coaches learn more about CD and coordinate our countywide CDAT.
