More About Angela Shelton

Angela Shelton is a wife, mother of three, and lifelong educator with 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Angela has made it her life’s mission to be an advocate for children living in low socioeconomic communities. She believes “we were created to be of service to one another — what more important group of people to serve than our children.” Her experience in education spans from classroom teacher and instructional coach roles to her current position as an Assistant Principal at Fairview Elementary in Dayton Public Schools.

Angela has served as an Equity Coach for school districts within the Montgomery County area and has been a guest on educational conference panels for Sinclair Community College and Central State University. She has also worked as a contracted consultant for Preschool Promise as a Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor.

Angela earned her B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (a Historically Black College and University) and her M.B.A. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago.
