    Excellent for Educators and Parents
This book gives a detailed explanation behind the reasoning for the rituals. Then goes on to give a plethora of examples with a good deal of variety.

I discovered Becky Bailey at the recommendation of a day care professional. I have found her strategies, philosophies, and tools have truly changed the way I parent for the better. Her methods purport to parent without guilt which is complete foreign to the way most of my generation was raised. It heals you from within and helps your children. Best of all, you have ways of handling mistakes and aren't expected to be perfect. This book is a handy bunch of connection activities that you can use in a classroom or with your children to reconnect after a day apart, to convey your feelings, and to communicate safety. I highly recommend it as a companion to "There's Got To Be a Better Way" or any of her other books.

I have found this book very helpul in my Title I setting pre-k classroom. So many children yearning for attention and this is a helpful tool for giving it. The book also reads very easily for those parents and teachers who do not need to wade through pages of theory. This gives helpful information and gets right to the point.

Her book is awesome for parents!!!! I bought it as a teacher but will still use many of her rituals with my students but they would be so much more worth the time to do with your own children!!! It's worth the money and I highly recommend if you are a new parent!! Also watch her videos on her website!!!

This is a cool book--not exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I still found it quite useful. The book lines out the "why" of using rituals with your children--what they define as ritual is basically a fun, personal, sort-of secret 'thing' you share with your child, mostly songs in this particular book. I was thinking it would be more of actual ritual ideas (nothing weird!) for seasons of life or growing up stuff, threshold moments, you know. But this is more a listing of songs, mostly to the tune of old nursery rhymes now made sweeter, to sing to your kiddo at certain times, like when you pick him/her up from school or when it's his/her b-day or something like that. I really like the ideas and have incorporated 3 or 4 of them into my repertoire. So all in all, a cool find.

This book has lots of little ideas to keep in touch with your child even when you are a busy adult! My son is about to turn 1, and life is about to get hectic with him starting daycare and me going to class full time. I think I will be using some of these rituals very often!

I bought this book after I saw it recommended elsewhere and was looking for ideas of rhyming games and songs to do with my two little ones (4 and 2). The book is easy to use, gives good illustrations and definitely met my expectations. Although I think it's perhaps a little extreme to completely re-write all of Mother Goose, my son loves doing the "cuddle games", as he calls them. If you're not creative enough (like me!) to invent games and songs like this on your own, this book will be very useful!
