Tymothy Smith
Certified InstructorTym Smith began working in the education field in 1986. After spending more than five years in the classroom, he advanced to fill various positions including Education Specialist, Assistant Director, Site Manager, Director and District Manager. He owns and operates five early education programs in Texas and is on the board of directors for The Association for Early Learning Leaders.

Tracy Skripka
Certified InstructorTracy Skripka is a Public School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has been instrumental in the implementation of Conscious Discipline school and district-wide. Tracy uses Conscious Discipline as the foundation of her school counseling program and her private counseling practice.

Rachel Frasier
Certified InstructorWith two decades of teaching experience, Rachel Frasier whole-heartedly integrates the powers and skills of Conscious Discipline into all aspects of her life. She has the unique perspective of serving as an elementary school dance specialist, allowing her to build relationships with all the students and families in her school. Rachel is a NC Teaching Fellow and graduate of Meredith College, where she earned a BA in Dance and her K-12 Dance Education Certification.

Sarah Catherine Rhodes
Certified InstructorSarah Catherine Rhodes is currently teaching an inclusive Pre-K class serving “at-risk” students alongside children with identified special needs. She participates in the NC Demonstration Preschool Program where she models best practices in the early childhood setting. Sarah Catherine graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Child Development and now serves as a mentor teacher for student interns.

Mara Spencer
Certified InstructorMara McElroy Spencer has a B.S. in Family and Child Sciences and has worked in the Early Education field for almost 20 years. Mara owns and operates a fully implemented Conscious Discipline preschool/primary school, serving ages birth-1st grade. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Directors for two K-8 Public Charter Schools in Leon County, FL. She resides in Tallahassee, FL with her husband, Justin, and their four children: Mallie, Jack, Luke, and Ella Cate.

Lynn Young
Certified InstructorLynn Young has dedicated 30 plus years to educating children with disabilities. While she once taught preschool through high school, her passion is working with young children and their families. She spent 20 years teaching an inclusive preschool classroom that she designed to include children with hearing impairments and other developmental disabilities. She was a demonstration teacher and has served as a cooperating teacher for countless student interns. Most recently, she has been a Preschool Coordinating Teacher supporting preschool Special Education and Title I teachers with a professional development program she developed.

Paola Salcedo
Certified InstructorPaola Salcedo is an award-winning teacher specializing in Early Childhood and Bilingual Education with over 15 years of experience in the classroom. She has worked as a Conscious Discipline coach at a Title I school in Houston ISD since 2015, where she has successfully implemented bilingual parent involvement programs. Paola is currently pursuing a master’s degree in School Counseling. A mother of four, she experiences the successes and challenges of the Conscious Discipline journey firsthand at home and at school.

Jennifer Smith
Certified InstructorJennifer Smith has over 17 years of experience working in the early childhood field. Her experiences vary from research and intervention to direct classroom and home-based services for families and children birth-five. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Child Development with a Specialization in Infant Studies from Erikson Institute. For the last 10 years, Jennifer has worked in the Early Head Start/Head Start community sharing her passion for Conscious Discipline.

Certified InstructorCarla Briezen has been working in the field of education in Aruba for over 20 years. Her aim is to introduce Conscious Discipline to as many people as possible and to be an example of living the principles of Conscious Discipline. Carla believes that adults and children alike can grow and live joyous, valuable lives founded on love instead of fear. By consciously accessing our brilliance when we apply the powers and skills of Conscious Discipline, we can build more loving and connected families, schools, companies and communities.
