How to Use We Care Center in the Backyard/Patio

The We Care Basket provides a way to express caring and empathy for others. After many bumps and bruises in the back yard, the Bug Family decided to bring a We Care Basket outside with them to soothe their boo-boos. The basket is filled with things like minor first aid items (Band-Aids, wet wipes, hand sanitizer), card-making supplies (paper, crayons, sentence starters), and a stuffed animal for cuddling.

When a child has a minor hurt or upset, the other children go to the We Care Basket to seek out ways to help their sibling or friend. In this manner, the We Care Basket provides a tangible means for children to offer empathy to each other.
