Virtual Training – Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education

With Elizabeth Montero-Cefalo

Healthy relational interactions with adults are key to raising children who are resilient and able to manage stress and bounce back even when faced with adversity, but how do we achieve this at a time when we are teaching remotely or with social distance? The key to navigating through this is for adults to equip themselves, as well as families, with the skills necessary to provide a felt sense of safety through consistent, responsive caregiving especially during times of stress and unknown. Additionally, these challenging times offer us an opportunity to think outside the box with the way we connect with children and their families. Learn ways to lay the foundation for resilience and social-emotional development despite the obstacles that we might encounter.
